Minor Injuries Reported After Car Collides With Train In Stoughton: Police

Authorities said that only minor injuries were reported after a car collided with a train on the tracks in Stoughton Friday afternoon, Oct. 28.

Route 27 from Porter Street to Canton Street was closed to traffic for "the next several hours" because of the collision, Stoughton Police said on Twitter. Police said the train was across the entire street.

Police said Kelois – the Commuter Rail's operator – and the MBTA are investigating the incident. The MBTA also said that all Stoughton Line trains will be taken out of service until further notice.

Those traveling between Stoughton and Canton Center will be accomdated by shuttle bus, the MBTA added. 

The scene was cleared about an hour after, Stoughton Police said.
